Conducting research for the upcoming 50th anniversary involves sorting through boxes, envelopes and piles of paperwork to unearth all types of previously forgotten materials. So far, we’ve discovered photos, newsletters, journals and documents from as far afield as Los Angeles, Canada and Australia. Add your own photos, documents and other digital items to ISACA’s historical archives through the website’s Get Involved page.

In the days before e-mail, newsletter and survey mailings were prepared manually by ISACA (then EDPAA) staff and volunteers. In 1980, working full days and overtime over the course of three weeks, a small team mailed out a total of 6,000 Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) Project Surveys to ISACA newsletter recipients.

At ISACA HQ, we discovered eight boxes containing international chapter newsletters and publications. Some of the documents date back to the 1980s and 1990s and provide unique insights into EDPAA/ISACA programs and events around the world.
Chapter newsletters from Japan, Puerto Rico, Malaysia, Mexico, Switzerland and Korea from the 1990s to early 2000s.
